Bahb, You Can Kick Me Out Of Your House, But...

Bahb and I continue to argue the Shaq vs. Kobe issue!

Miami, with Shaq are in 1st place, +5.5 games in the East, Lakers are in 7th! Let me remind you, only 8 teams advance to the playoffs! Lakers are 9 games out of 1st, and 2 games from 9th, i.e. watching the playoffs from their couches!

Bahb keeps pointing out that Shaq is on the downside of his career.

I agree.

He keeps saying Kobe is getting better.

I agree.

But what about Phil Jackson?

Nobody (Bahb!) wants to talk about that! What about that Bahb?

What a great situation! Phil, Shaq, and Kobe! Oh!!!! Kobe wants to be a little bitch!

Fine, get T-Mac. Done deal.

If Kobe can't recognize that Shaq is going down, and the transfer of the team is his for the taking, while picking up another couple rings, he should be traded! At least for the sake of the fans, or at least ME!

Bahb, this is why you have to take Mrs. Damf to Claim Jumper for the next month!

You don't get it!

Good move though, it won't interfere with with our playoff parties.

I have not started my NBA analysis yet, but when Football is over,

It's On!!!

The Playoff Picture

So the NFL playoff picture is coming into focus.

I am not commenting on the NFC, why? The Eagles have little competition, and those bastards deactivated RB Brian Westbrook, one of my fantasy players the day of the game. They obviously didn't know I was about to overtake 3rd place. So the NFC is the Eagles....

AFC-

Since we know the playoff picture is Patriots, Steelers, Colts, and CHARGERS!!!!

You got, Jets, Bills, or Broncos, are your wildcards, unless some unexpected craziness happens and Jacksonville or Baltimore slide in. So it goes like this, Indy doesn't care about their game with Denver, so Broncos pick up a win. Jets have the Rams, a team that needs a win as bad as they do! Anybody's call here. Bills play the Steelers, here again, the Steelers are in, with home field, do they play the 3rd stringers?

My thought, Jets and Bills end up in.

Bills lose to the Chargers, Jets beat the Colts. Yes, that's right!

Jets vs. Steelers, = Steelers

And now, the game I've been dying to see all year! New England (Boston, that bulls#/T city that should not have a new World Series Trophy), vs. SAN DIEGO!

San Diego! My boys all year!

So, the Fu2rman says many weeks out, Chargers Vs. Steelers, in Pittsburgh.

I still like the Chargers run defense against a rookie passer. Rothlisberger' s offense is built around the run.

When it comes down to Chargers and Steelers, Bolts win!

Against the Eagles, without TO, I'll still take the Chargers!!

Fu2r And Bahb, SD vs. Indy At The Fu2rman's.

Bahb,

I haven't heard from you, I'm worried about you!

A cordless screwdriver?

I had (and have) my couch made up for you.

I hope you're not buried in your backyard.

Especially since the Chargers are playing the Colts tomorrow at 1pm our time!

This is more than the game of the week. This is really important! Playoff implications to say the least, the first round bye is at stake here. Indy and SD have the same record, so winning this game is important,
but not mandatory.

The great Superbowl stories of late are stories of the late comer to the party. Jacksonville last year, so if the Bolt's or the Colt's have to come from from behind, they
should fear eachother.

These teams play into eachothers hands. You have a great run defense, but a weak pass defense in the Chargers. OK great, on the other side, you have Manning, the best passing QB in the league. So you shut down Edgrin James, but let Manning and his receivers go off? I beg of you Quentin Jammer, you have a great name for a Cornerback, "Jammer", c'mon, shut down a receiver, for me at least. I do have confidence in Jammer, but go ahead and name another SD Cornerback...

Harrison, Wayne and Stokley, these are three guys I'd put on my fantasy team. All part of the Colt's threat, and SD's concern.

SD's QB is solid, but it's all about LaDainian Tomlinson, and Antonio Gates. Keenan McCardell is going to be as useless as he has been since signing with the Chargers, he may not even play. At least pretending to play, as he has, he posed a threat, albeit pretend, at least he took some pressure off of L.T. and A.G.

This game is going to come down to my boy Marty S. and the Colt's Tony D. How fun!

The real issue is that they will probably meet again in the playoffs, and the coach that can access this game better, will win that game.

Bahb,

I hope all is well, you better not be in the doghouse that takes you away from my football weekend!

Shaq 1, Kobe 0

Well the Lakers didn't exactly get their asses handed to them, but the Heat were too much for them in LA.

Thank you Santa!

Kobe scored 42 points today, Shaq fouled out in the 4th, and the Lakers still couldn't win on their home court, in overtime!

I'm telling you, Kobe may be a top 3 player, but without a big-man, he's got nothing!

Kobe cannot carry the Lakers.

Buss and Kupchak's Lakers are trying to play Eastern Conferance basketball, a la Iverson's 76er's.

And how's that been workin' out?

One visit to the finals, and they lost to Kobe and Shaq. Did the '6er's even win a game in that series?

To clarify, Iverson has put on some scoring clinics against teams, but what good has it done them?

Tonight Kobe scored 42, Odom did pick up 24, Mihm and Atkins added 11 and 12. The Heat had 5 players in double didgits, Wayne with 29, Shaq with 24, Western Conference style baby!

The Heat only won by two points.

If this game was Shaq vs. Kobe from start to finish, I would call it a draw, but Shaq watched the end of the 4th, and the entire overtime period from the bench.

Kobe blew a game winning 3-pointer at the buzzer, someting he hit with regularity when he had Shaq's help on the floor.

Once again, Kobe cannot carry a team by himself!

This does not look good for the Lakers, and it looks great for Miami.

After beating the Lakers, Miami extends their winning streak to 11 games.

Not bad.

Was Shaq worth the money?

For Miami, yes! They even added seats to their arena to accomodate the demand for tickets. Here again, another side to this, Shaq still fills your Arena, can Kobe do the same?

I don't believe he will, not on a pretty good Laker team, and definately not on a losing Laker team.

Kobe, big f***ing deal if you scored 42 points, you F***ING LOST!!! I want a post season, I want wins!!

I'm sorry, but Kobe isn't equipped to deliver.

Would You Pay $130 Million To A Guy That Is Going To Be 34 At The End Of The Deal???

The Atlanta Falcons did. To Michael Vick no less.

I don't like this deal.

``The only thing that matters is winning football games,'' Vick said Thursday. ``It's not about being the highest-paid guy in the NFL because that doesn't mean anything if you don't win football games.''

Well he has done that, somewhat. But Mr. Vick, with the salary cap, what about when they can't afford to build a team around you? What then?

``It's no longer a distraction,'' Vick said. ``We got the deal out of the way and we were able to move forward, so I'm very excited about that.''

No frickin' kidding, I bet you're excited.

Mr. Vick, I get it, not being the highest paid player would be distracting. Your first contract was signed in 2001, and everybody knows 2001 money doesn't feed a family these days, just ask Latrell Sprewell.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against Vick. But out of these three guys who should make the most money, Vick, Peyton Manning, or Tom Brady? The obvious answer is Manning, but then you have Brady with two Superbowl rings, and a chance for a third. Seriously Vick is a distant third. I may even put Culpepper above Vick, but that is besides the point.

I hate everything Boston, including the Patriots, but I do respect Tom Brady. I don't believe Vick when he says, "The only thing that matters is winning," but Brady seems to believe this. He doesn't put up Manning stats, but he wins games. Well, except Monday Night against the frickin' Dolphins! But really, in the Big Game, which QB do you want on your side of the ball?

Wrong!! But nice try, it was a trick question!

The correct answer, Drew Brees! This is the year of the Chargers.

Period!

To tell you the truth, I wouldn't pay Brees bus fair to throw footballs through a tire on a rope at the county fair for the chance to win a stuffed donkey! I love his play this year, but what is San Diego going to do? Keep him, or keep Philip Rivers? I do guarantee this, whatever they do, will be the wrong decission.

But I digress, is Vick the best player in the league?

I cannot say yes to this question! He is a great athelete, he can run, and he can throw, kinda.

So what the hell makes this guy worth all this cash?

Easy question my friends, The Falcons are selling tickets. People want to see the Falcons play, when is the last time you heard that?

Vick puts asses in seats, end of story.

So all, is this what we want? Is this what sports has come to? Screw winning, I just want a guy that MAY do something exciting, or maybe suck ass, I don't care!

You're right, if their football season only lasts one week into the playoffs, that's OK, 'cause did you see that sick run he had on Sportscenter's Top 10?

Sorry, I'll take Brady.

The Fu2r is this---Vick proves to be a bust. I'll give him two solid seasons, not stellar, but good, then he's finished, and Atlanta cries about their crappy Falcons once again.

Speaking Of Suspense...Yeah, Or Not.

Shaq will return to Los Angeles for Christmas. The Miami Heat will be handing Kobe and "his" Lakers their asses.

Readers, that is not a prediction, it is my desire, so do not place any bets based on this!

Actually, I hope both frickin' teams lose!

Shaq and Kobe both suck, two spoiled little cry baby millionaires. At least Shaq, in his interview on the Monday Night Football halftime show, stated that he always respected Kobe's game. He said he always understood that a dynasty needs a one-two punch, he and Kobe did their thing on the court, and after that, he didn't have time to think about Kobe.

Fair enough.

Shaq in his time with the Lakers started seasons out of shape, waited to get surgery, because he wanted to heal on the Lakers dime, ...I could go on, and maybe I will another time.

So why did Shaq demand to be traded? Because he couldn't get along with Kobe?

I don't think so.

Mitch Kupchak made clear the team’s priorities, after saying goodbye to Phil Jackson, when he said the Lakers would do anything they needed to do to keep Kobe and would try to accommodate Shaq if he demanded a trade. But Shaq hadn't publicly said anything about a trade yet...

What was Shaq supposed to do?

Obviously the Lakers were all about Kobe, a self centered
egomaniac, probably a rapist, that doesn't make the players around him any better, and can't carry a team by himself.

Not smart.

If Kupchak intended to trade Shaq, good, fine, whatever, but why would you tip your hand like that? I want to play poker with him, nice poker face Mitch! I'd love Bahb to comment on this, I bet he has an opinion or two.

Why do I hate the Lakers this year?

This is hard for me to put together, let me try.

I have loved the Lakers since I was a young boy, watching Kareem, Worthy, and Magic, with my family. Specifically my Dad, Grandfather, and my Uncles. We used to watch the games at my Grandfather's house, I recall turning the network announcers volume off on the TV, and tuning in Chick Hearn on the stereo. My Grandfather has passed, but these are great family memories, so it pains me to hate the Lakers.

However!

Owner Jerry Buss has to be about 100 by now, and over the last four years what has he done? He allowed Jerry West to get away and systematicly dismantled everything he put in place, he let Phil Jackson go, he bet his entire franchise on a spoiled brat that will never pan out the way he hopes, ie traded Shaq. When he and Kupchak did decide to trade Shaq, Kupchak screwed it up and Buss didn't fire him! Buss is losing it. Maybe lost it!

If The Fu2rman were the Lakers GM, this is how it would have worked, and I have a few people that can confirm this.

Tracy McGrady was available, GET HIM! dump Kobe and all his legal & narcistic BS, keep Shaq, keep Phil. There's your one-two punch, and the greatest coach ever. Put virtully any three guys on the floor with them and you're golden. Who wouldn't want to be part of that team?

Those are the three keys. The keys to the Laker Dynasty!

To all teams,

My GM services are available, but I gotta say, Basketball disgusts me at the present, and I'm better with Baseball anyway. But, if you want to fix up your miserable team...

Call The Fu2rman.

I almost feel sad...

So the Angels are letting David Eckstein go, having signed Orlando Cabrera.

Now to be clear I am a Yankee fan that grew up 10 minutes from the Angels home. I always liked the Angels, but '95 was the last straw. They had to win, like 1 game out of 12, and they couldn't pull that off? Even in 2002 when they won the World Series, I was happy for them, but I felt like I could not be one the bandwagon Angels fans. So I quietly smiled inside, congradulated my Angel fan friends, and told them they wouldn't be able to touch the Yankees next year. Oh, by the way, I was right about that, but I didn't rub it in their faces like they did to me.

The following year the Angels made the worst mistake possible. They re-signed the entire team. Including Eckstein. Bahb and I talked about this and his comment was perfect, the '02 Angels caught lightning in a bottle. Since '02 I've been saying the Angels need a shortstop. We watched A-Rod sign with the Yankees, Tejada go to Baltimore, and even Nomar move to the Cubs.

Now two seasons after Eck was part of a World Series team, he has been let go. I, of all people should be happy to see him go. I've been saying it since '02, and I was finally proven right. Sometimes though, this being right all the time becomes a burden.

I will make my point now, Art Moreno, the Angel's new owner has done some good things. Vlad Guerrero for one, for two lowering beer prices at the stadium. I only mention this because it is a crock, he lowered the price by 25 cents, big deal, domestic beer is only $7 now! When I was at Yankee Stadium they were selling the big Fosters can and the big Sapporo cans for $5. Bigger beer, imported, and 2 bucks cheaper. go Yankees!

Here is what continues to make me a Yankee fan before an Angel fan.
Steinbrenner would have known he wanted a new shortstop after '02. He would have known that Eck could go out and make some decent money as the defending champion shortstop, but not Moreno. He held him until his contract was up, his price plummets, then let him go? Trade him last year, or sign him this year at a discount. No loyalty to a fan favorite, one I might add that seems to gain popularity each year.

I don't think Moreno gets how to be a good owner.

There is the whole thing about wanting to call the team the LA Angels, that is downright offensive to people of Anahiem and Orange County as a whole. When the San Francisco Giants clinched the National League in '02, their fans where chanting 'beat LA!' knowing they would meet the Angels in the World Series. All of us from OC where saying what a bunch of jackasses! Now the owner wants to be one of those jackasses. Eck has become insanely popular with Angel fans. His hustle is how the game was meant to be played.

Now he's gone.

Angel fan's now you have Cabrera, I guarantee you won't like him as much. He's good, but I don't like the way he plays. I'll save that for later in the year when he shows you what I mean.
