Well This Is Interesting
What a difference a week makes.
The once written off Oakland A's are now holding a 2 game lead over the Los Angeles Angels of the city Arte Moreno is ashamed to be a part of. I still say Arte can go **** himself.
This is why I take some satisfaction in watching this happen.
And what is the best part of this whole thing?
The Yankees are at the top of the Wildcard standings. And the second best part is that the Arte's Angels are third in the Wildcard standings.
That man is a devil to Orange County Sports, and now he has cursed the Angels.

You are way off on Moreno. Look what he has done for The Angels, a once lilly-white typical OC team, has some latin culture. Gone is Eckstein, the whitest of them all, in is Cabrerra, out is Salmon, in is Guerrero, no more Glaus, and they are LA's new team. Great marketing, great job Moreno.
Well anonymous, it seems we are going to disagree here. I am looking at what Moreno has done for the team since he bought them. They have made one playoff appearance since he bought them, and they got swept. If you recall, the year before he bought them they were World Champions, lilly-white or not.
However, if what you are saying is true, and he traded white players, just to bring in Latino players, wouldn't that make him a racist?
I don't think he is, just to be clear, but that seems to be what you are suggesting.
Salmon was hurt and retiring, so I can't agree more with bringing Guerrero to the team, he was the best free agent out there. Glaus was a money decision, can't argue that one, but losing Eckstein to bring in Cabrera?
That was just dumb.
Let's compare, Cabrera hitting .252, with 6 HR's, 42 RBI's and a .306 OBP.
Eckstein is hitting .283 with 7 HR's (and he's not supposed to hit HR's) 53 RBI's (and he's a leadoff man) and a .355 OBP.
And Eck started the All-Star game this year.
Nice move, if race had anything to do with, I am even more pleased the Angels got the short end on that trade.
